Charcot Marie Tooth Cold Feet

Charcot Marie Tooth is the most common Genetic Nerve disease known. Although its classified as a "Rare Disease", it is estimated to affect 1 in 2500 people across the globe. Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) is a Genetic disorder and has over 50 subtypes, with Type 1A being the most common at approx 70% of the CMT population. I myself have type 1a and has passed it on too, 2 of my 3 children. Another fact about CMT is a parent has a 50/50 chance to passing it on to their children.

My feet can get extremely cold in the winter time. With our sub zero temperatures and much time spent outside it sure can make a man cold. Every time I come in from the outside I swear I just go stand over the heat register. Just like I did when I was a kid, we were always hanging out over the register. l never thought much of "why" when I was growing up. Now with my cold feet I feel like chopping them off sometimes.

I was trolling around the internet and found this site. I have been looking for something to keep my feet warm and I think I have found it. I will know for sure when they arrive. The slippers look like the solution to my problem. Like diabetics folks with Charcot Marie Tooth can extremely cold feet due to lack of circulation. These slippers I am confident will do the trick, because they were developed by a husband of a women who has CMT. Great story and a great pair of slippers.

Well, I have to say these are just wonderful. I have worn them a few times and my feet have never felt better. Never knew the power of warm feet, only ever knew cold feet. Looks like that is history now. I have two children with CMT too and they love them just as much. I look forward to getting them pairs as well.

Update couple of months after initial article. These have just been a god sent, with the crazy winter we have been having this year. So nice to have something to take the dampness out too. These things are just wonderful.
